As recently as 60 years ago, there was a thriving market for slide rules. Thankfully, we didn’t hear society say, “Stop, we cannot move forward with innovation until those who are uncalculatored (without calculators) get one.” Cash will exist for certain parts of society, regardless. Some people today still do math problems with pencil and paper while others use spreadsheets. To hold the best back would be the equivalent to teaching to the slowest student in the room.
